The two 00's pop icons have been announced as the headliner and special guest for The Jockey Club Live's Summer Saturday at Newmarket Race Course, taking place on August 23rd
Newmarket Nights are always some of the most exciting dates on the summer calendar, with a full race card being paired with live performances from some of music's biggest names, with previous headliners including the likes of Kylie Minogue, Little Mix and The Beach Boys.
The 2025 line-up has been shaping up nicely over the last few months, with Ministry of Sound (June 20th), Richard Ashcroft (June 27th), and Faithless (August 8th) already announced as headliners for evening concerts. However, this week The Jockey Club Live have announced the return of Summer Saturday, the family-friendly version of Newmarket Nights, taking place on August 23rd. This will see an afternoon of exhilarating racing followed by sets from a duo of noughties pop icons, headliners Sugababes, and special guest Natasha Bedingfield.
Having seen both artists perform live in recent years, I can guarantee this will be one of the most high energy events of summer 2025. Natasha Bedingfield, who has enjoyed a spectacular resurgence in this last year, previously stole the show with a festival set I described as "An absolute standout performance packed full of nostalgia and pop brilliance". A few days prior to this I saw Sugababes perform a set that I stated proved "Pop music really is timeless". If anything these two reviews understate just how incredible these artists are live, and you will have to get yourself to Newmarket Race Course on August 23rd to experience it for yourself.
Natasha Bedingfield said
“Newmarket! I can’t wait to spend a glorious summer’s day with you at the end of August. I’ve played a few shows with Sugababes over the years and always have a wonderful time – see you there!”
Sugababes said
“We’ve had a brilliant few years performing at festivals, and summer shows are fast becoming our favourites. We can’t wait to see your faces in the sunshine!”
Sophie Able, Newmarket Racecourses and International Director, said
“Summer Saturday Live welcomes music fans of all ages and we’re delighted to reveal Sugababes with special guest Natasha Bedingfield for the Saturday of August bank holiday. It will be an incredible day for pop nostalgia; both acts have a huge array of timeless hits and are the perfect pair for all generations to enjoy together.”
